Market for power semiconductors in automotive to rev up by $3B by 2022

The global market for power semiconductors used in cars and light passenger vehicles will grow by more in $3 billion USD in the next six years, according to new analysis released by IHS Markit. In the report forecasts the total market for power semiconductors to increase from $5.5 billion in 2016 to more than $8.5 billion in 2022. TechSearch International predicts strong market growth for fan-in wafer level packages and fan- out WLP. Morgan Stanley cuts Apple estimates and predicts an iPhone 7 sales slump for 2017
