Z kraju  Politechnika Poznańska uruchomiła Akademię Huawei - HAINA 

 

W Katedrze Sieci Telekomunikacyjnych Wydziału Elektroniki i Telekomunikacji Politechniki Poznańskiej zainaugurowano Akademię Huawei - Huawei Authorized Information and Network Academy.

Jest to szkoleniowy program firmy Huawei, który poprzez zajęcia praktyczne prowadzone przez profesjonalistów umożliwia biorącym w nim udział studentom pogłębianie wiedzy z dziedziny nowoczesnych technologii informacyjno-komunikacyjnych. W oferowanym zakresie jest jedynym tego typu programem szkoleniowym w Polsce.

Jak podkreślił dziekan Wydziału Elektroniki i Telekomunikacji Politechniki Poznańskiej prof. dr hab. inż. Krzysztof Wesołowski oferowane kursy będą dostępne również dla studentów innych kierunków, jak automatyka i robotyka, a także dla zainteresowanych osób związanych z branżą, np. operatorów przemysłowych sieci komputerowych. Jednym z elementów Akademii Huawei będzie realizacja certyfikowanych kursów w zakresie rozwiązań chmurowych, bezpieczeństwa sieci komputerowych oraz zarządzania i administrowania sieciami.

Politechnika Poznańska rozpoczęła współpracę z firmą Huawei w ubiegłym roku, dołączając do partnerów konkursu Huawei "Seeds for the Future", w ramach którego studenci mieli okazję odbycia szkoleń w siedzibie głównej firmy w Shenzhen.

Taiwan makers all set for mini LED

Taiwan-based LED firms, in view of tight supply of AMOLED smartphone panels and increasing competition in the LED backlighting segment from China-based makers, are ready adopt mini LEDs for TV and smartphone backlighting applications and fine pixel pitch displays, according to industry sources. With sizes of about 100 micrometers, mini LED chip poduction does not need mass transfer, a technological bottleneck for micro LEDs, the sources said. Amazon launches biggest wind farm yet

Amazon announced that its largest wind farm yet - Amazon Wind Farm Texas - is now up and running, adding more than 1,000,000 MWh of clean energy to the grid each year. Amazon has launched 18 wind and solar projects across the U.S., with over 35 more to come. Together, these projects will generate enough clean energy to power over 330,000 homes annually. These projects also support hundreds of jobs and provide tens of millions of dollars of investment in local communities across the country. Apple plans on selling lower priced models with iPhone X features

According to a report published in China, Apple will be using some of the technology found in this year's Apple iPhone X on next year's models that are rumored to have code names of Lisbon and Hangzhou. The report says that Apple is concerned about its market share in China, and believes that by offering many iPhone X features in a lower priced phone, it can help it recapture market share in the country. Another website in Japan, Macotakara, expects the lower-end model would get a 10,000 yen ($90 USD) hair cut from this year's pricing. Intel and Amazon partner on voice recognition tech

Intel and Amazon are partnering to combine the former's silicon and smarts with the latter's Alexa voice platform. The chipmaker has introduced the Intel Speech Enabling Developer Kit to provide a "complete audio front-end solution for far-field voice control". The idea is that Intel has done the hard work of designing the mic arrays and voice systems and that all developers will need to do is write applications for them. It offers algorithms for echo cancellation and beam forming, wake words, an 8-mic array and the company's dual digital signal processor. The development kit is up for pre-order starting today for $399.
