Z kraju  Radmor podpisał duży kontrakt z wojskiem 

 

Gdyński Radmor podpisał z Inspektoratem Uzbrojenia Ministerstwa Obrony Narodowej wartą 73 mln zł umowę na dostawę radiostacji wraz z dodatkowym wyposażeniem.

Dostawy sprzętu mają być realizowane w latach 2016-2020, przy czym w roku 2016 wartość dostaw miałą wynieść około 33 mln zł netto.

Obecnie Radmor należy do WB Group, największej prywatnej polskiej firmy zbrojeniowej wytwarzającej systemy łączności i dowodzenia dla wojska oraz bezzałogowe statki powietrzne. W skład WB Group wchodzą także firmy produkujące automatykę kolejową i urządzenia dla elektroenergetyki. Radmor eksportuje swoje produkty do 17 krajów, m.in. do Czech, Indonezji, Malezji, RPA, krajów bałtyckich i na Ukrainę; dwóm z nich sprzedał licencje. Firma opracowała też system łączności dla portu lotniczego w Modlinie.

Toshiba says suing Western Digital for $1 billion

Japan's Toshiba Corp said it is filing a lawsuit against joint venture partner Western Digital Corp. Toshiba is claiming 120 billion yen ($1.07 billion) in damages, saying in a statement that Western Digital is interfering with the sale of its memory chip division. Product listings for Nvidia-based and AMD-based cryptocurrency mining cards recently appeared on the website of ASUS, a leading maker of graphics cards. Panel and component suppliers gearing up for robust demand for 18:9 displays

LCD panel makers and panel-related component suppliers are gearing up for robust demand for 18:9 LCD panels from the smartphone sector in the second half of 2017, according to industry sources. Google fined record $2.7 billion in European antitrust case

The European Commission has hit Google with a record $2.7 billion fine after concluding that the search giant unfairly favored its comparison-shopping service over others. “[Google] denied other companies the chance to compete on the merits and to innovate,” said Margrethe Vestager, the European Union commissioner in charge of competition policy. “And most importantly, it denied European consumers a genuine choice of services and the full benefits of innovation.” Europe in 2015 formally charged Google with abusing its dominance in search by giving advantage to its own comparison-shopping service. więcej na: www.siliconvalley.com

LG Innotek aiming at making flexible circuit boards for next iPhone

LG Innotek is in the process of setting up flexible printed circuit board production, with the goal of becoming a primary supplier for the Apple iPhone, according to a report out of LG's home country, South Korea. "Related facilities" should break ground later in 2017, the Korea Economic Daily said. It's expected that mass produciton will begin sometime in 2018.
